About meOneslutriot is a London based anonymous queer multidisciplinary artist with primary focus in contemporary painting, drawing, subvertising and tattoo art. She has exhibited across Europe, including Germany, Italy, Switzerland,UK and recently in New York. Raised from the Feminist Punk/DIY/Underground scenes, Oneslutriot is an active member of Artcore International artists collective, The Nave art activist group, WoM female street artists collective, Lad$ collective and associate artist of Reboot the Roots. She is currently working towards her MFA degree at New York Academy of Arts and the first solo show. In the past she has coordinated and participated in events targeting injustice in daily life on themes such as political, social and ecological issues, repression, stereotyping, homelessness, LGBTQ, climate change, the refugee crisis and more. Oneslutriot's older artworks were mostly a political and social commentary on the relentless act of full time posing, self obsession, mass ignorance and the cacotopic future of the planet. In recent years she has also started to examine the change that body positivity movements such as queer scene, mainstream and underground worlds of fetish and activist promotion of shameless freedom of self expression, as well as various feminist movements sick of traditional body values have brought in to the changing perception on how body values have moved on in the third decade of the 21st century from what it once was. She decided to stay anonymous as she believes that artwork should carry out the message and not the appearance of the artist, and that her function as an artist is to highlight injustice and seek positive change rather than decorate the walls of the privileged, or feed the self obsessed culture of the social media generation. Creative Warrior Guide Support your local shop lifter – Tesco isn't going bankrupt from a liberated item. Don’t snitch. Human CCTV culture is as cost effective as violence against each other. Show no respect to authority. Know your shit better than they do. Create from nothing but not about nothing. Find a friend to support – we all are fucking anxious as we live in the system fueled by mental health. Be inspired by, but not competing. Your gods also had their gods that they thought they will never be as good as. Art is not about satisfaction and joy, it is about all the unspoken. Let yourself out through your media and portray the feelings that hide. They are your real artistic fuel. Appreciate that which separates us from one another - creativity. Art is being taken out from education because creativity is individual and individuals cannot be controlled. Your financial and housing problems will always be with you if you want to be free. Dedicate time for doing what fulfils you and reminds you who you are, everything else is just temporary logistics. It is irrelevant. Embrace chaos because chaos is order. Support one another. Don’t keep compliments to yourself. Government ain't gonna help us. A rising tide lifts all the ships. Collaborate and take initiative. More voices are louder. Art is to show the world your way. Real art should make people nervous. And for the end , this is what you want this is what you get. |
